For 2012 a new project was needed and a friend of mine Ross suggested a track car project to promote the new side of Motormaxd’s business which is Track car preparation, we have decided that we could put our many years of different skills into a new line for the business. I have built several top show cars and attention to detail needed when building trackcars and after running my R33 GTSt track car for 2 years on track/drag and drift tracks the buzz was missing after selling the track car to fund my show winning ex Mines R33GTR. We decided that the car for the budget end of track/sprint cars would be the Mazda MX5 which with its rear wheel drive and small compact size make a good affordable track/road car which is not too expensive to run. Ross set about finding the car and came up with this little red number which had the bonus of a hard top when he bought it. The car was stock other than the hardtop and was a great base to build from.

I will update this page very soon as the car has gone through a few changes and does look alot different now and is nearly at stage one of its trackcar transformation which is basically to make sure it is safe and stops and steers correctly.

Acorn Signs 01472-362630 Daz has designed the graphics for the car to our specified styles and this will get the car noticed wherever it appears!
